I watched this with my dad. Luckily, he joined me. Haha! So No Other Woman is definitely a must watch movie. Anne-Derek-Cristine in one movie, what more would you ask for?
The story was set up very nicely. Perfect plot, I guess. It did not try to add some twist with regards to the storytelling and just presented the story directly. We know for a fact that in any other Star Cinema film, the lead characters always have a problem with any of the member of the family, for this movie, it was Ram’s father and even a bit with Kara’s, which served as the B plot back story on why the characters act in such manner. Fortunately, it worked here since the small plots served as real back stories that did not sound forced nor unnatural. What I like about the film is that no one claims to be a saint. Everyone knows what they’re doing and that they’re just taking advantage of the situation given to them. They admit their faults, but what I don’t get is how they all become in good terms in the end? That’s not realistic as it is right? Anyway, so back to this the location of the film does look too posh and costly, and it gave the director and the cinematographer some opportunities for very nice shots, which they took advantage.
Of course, people are gonna be raving about the lines. The audience is really receptive every time Ms. Carmi Martin throws her lines. The whole crowd is going crazy. Additionally, it’s the understated hints that both Anne and Cristine give to each other that will end up in all local movie confrontation lists. That catfight would be the highlight of the movie. Haha, I’m kidding! In relation to that, the real star of the show is the cast. Derek Ramsey was physically and emotionally fit to play the role of Ram. Cristine Reyes was a bit hammy in her supposedly “shining moments” and the audience isn’t sympathizing with her instead laugh at her. But she played the role good enough that it didn’t ruin the movie experience. Ultimately, it was the Anne Curtis movie. Everything about her screams the role she’s playing. This is an all time best performance from her, and I doubt she’ll be able to top this. I know she will and always will in the future. That’s who she is, that’s how she is.

(September 24, 2011)

Saw it earlier today (September 24, 2011), I think this movie is well created from writers, scripts, plots, sets down to casting, everything was perfect but there are some parts that I want to skip because its kinda annoying and pretty boring. Still I’m recommending this movie to everyone. ”Don’t talk to anyone. Don’t touch anyone.“An action-thriller centered on the threat posed by a deadly disease and an international team of doctors contracted by the CDC to deal with the outbreak. When one thinks of the most nightmarish scenarios that can happen to mankind, whether it’s terrorism, earthquake, hurricane or what have you, a pandemic is the most scary of all. It’s unpredictable and deadly and before you know it, everyone you care about is dead and society collapses as an end result to the deadly outbreak. What Contagion does is present to the audience how shockingly real this could happen in real life and it’s plausibility is what really gets to you the most. It’s a situation that almost immediately fills you with dread and hopelessness as countless lives are lost by the deadly biological onslaught of one of the dark aspects of nature. A tale of man versus nature, Contagion is packed with thrilling suspense, character dynamics (though admittedly a bit thin) and an intelligent and well-written plot. What really got to me is how real this movie makes an outbreak of a deadly disease so convincing and compelling. It portrays both the good and sadly true, dark aspects of human nature as some are in competition for the spotlight of being the first to attempt to rid the disease, while some only want it for taking care of loved ones in places few and far between. Despite being an action thriller, it felt like an independent film with an art house/quasi mainstream feel. Very unique that this film took that approach while also giving it oodles of substance on which to think and reflect on the various issues that are presented. It gives enough, but also lets the audience figure out things on there on without being beaten over the head with information that viewers already know well about. It’s smartly directed and well-written and has a plot that’s so real that you can literally feel it. There are other films that have story elements about diseases, but this one takes the cake out of them all that will have you thinking for a long time after the credits roll.

Sarah McNerney is a beautiful young woman from a wealthy and privileged family who is trying to make a name for herself as a writer. Sarah's family doesn't much care for Tom's boorish ways, and Tom's buddies think Sarah is too highbrow for him, but, if anything, this makes the couple all the more determined to be together, and they decide to get married and head off to Italy for a month-long honeymoon despite the pleas of those closest to them. However, even after the knot is tied, Sarah's former beau, Peter Prentiss, is dead set upon breaking up the happy couple, though as it turns out, a seemingly endless stream of bad luck and post-marital jitters may do the job for him. Just Married was written by Sam Harper, who claims to have loosely based the script on his own experiences on an ill-starred European honeymoon with his wife; fortunately, the couple's marriage survived the experience.

But trouble arrives when an intriguing stranger Jerry moves in next door. He seems like a great guy at first, but there’s something not quite right-and everyone, including Charley’s mom, doesn’t notice. After witnessing some very unusual activity, Charley comes to an unmistakable conclusion: Jerry is a vampire preying on his neighborhood. Unable to convince anyone that he’s telling the truth, Charley has to find a way to get rid of the monster himself in this revamp of the comedy-horror classic.
Yesterday (September 12, 2011), @PatSantiago_ and I watched Fright Night. I think this movie was dope. This one isn’t just a Vampire movie that’s sooo overrated, its about the new breed Vampire-Werewolf fictional character called the Hybrid. Colin Farrell made his role as a hybrid convincing and he is way hotter than Charley the kid, for me Penn would be better. Hahaha anyway that’s just my opinion. I liked the movie because its not that freaky. It was cute and funny especially Peter Vincent. I kinda like him, his role everything. Hahaha weird but true. I hate Ed and his chubby cheeks. He made me laugh when he was turned. He can’t be a good hybrid he’s such a weird loser trying to be like Jerry but he can’t. That’s all. Thanks!
